When the Fukien Provincial Government relocated to Taiwan in 1956, Jioulong River Distillery was renamed Kinmen Distillery, and placed under he jurisdiction of the Government Affairs Commission of the Kinmen Command Post of Defence.（1956/07/01）
Kinmen's first Defense Commander, General Hu Lien appointed Mr. Chang Tsi-Ying to direct Colonel Chou Shin-Chun (later the first Plant Supervisor) in building the Jioulong River Distillery located outside the Southern Gate of Kinmencheng. Mr. Ye Hua-Cheng was appointed as the Head of Technical Section.
