The KKL did a great job in its first participation in international spirits competitions in 2016, including the most prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Monde Selection of Brussels, and the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. They are the top three in international spirits competitions. 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition was star-studded, with competitors from around the world.
A total of 1,899 liquors made by mainland China, Taiwan, European countries, and the U.S. were pitted against each other. They came from famous brands like Maotai and Shui Jingfang.
As the winners of the competition were announced on April 4, 2016, the KKL’s 58% Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor and Treasure Collection of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor won the Double Gold Medals, representing a recognition of highest quality. What’s more stimulating was that the 58% Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor won the title of “Best Baijiu,” the greatest honor in the world for Baijiu. It was also a honor won for the Taiwan people.
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is among the most important spirits competitions in the world. It not only has a long tradition, but it is also praised as the Oscar Awards of the wine and liquor industry. Winning a gold medal from it means a great recognition for a wine or liquor. Guizhou Maotai of mainland China has released this year a commemorative liquor to mark the 100th anniversary of its winning a gold medal in the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition, the predecessor of San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Guizhou Maotai is proud of the honor won 100 years ago. It is the reason why it launches a commemorative liquor to celebrate the honor won in 1915. It also represents how much value the medal winning meant to Maotai.
In the 2016 Ultimate Spirits Challenge held in New York, the U.S., the KKL’s 58% Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor not only got high scores but also won much recognition as one of the finalists for the top award and the winner of “Great Value” award.
The KKL made a remarkable performance in the 2016 Monde Selection by garnering as many as six gold medals. One of the golds was Grand Gold, the highest honor for Baijiu. It proves once again the outstanding quality of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor, which is not only the best in Taiwan but also reaches world standards. The KKL is capable of competing with any other liquor brands in the world, standing out from the competitors.
