Through co-promotion of contract sorghum farming between Kinmen County and other counties and cities in Taiwan, “local sorghum is grown locally”. Apart from saving water, this can also enhance food self-sufficiency. Additionally, by signing long-term farming contracts with farmers in Taiwan, KKL can stabilize their income. KKL’s city gate and Taiwan’s sorghum fields are the elements of the label design. The product name “一穀作契” sits in the middle to symbolize food contract farming and represents the concerted efforts in promoting environmental and economic sustainability of Kinmen and Taiwan. The overall label uses the golden color and is adhered to the clear bottle to bring a unique touch. You are invited to taste this “Contract Sorghum Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor” made with “Taiwan-grown sorghum” for “water conservation, environmental protection, and loving Taiwan”.

Liquor: Made with glutinous sorghum, this liquor is characterized by a rich, smooth taste in a clear and aromatic liquor. After a balanced aroma of fragrance, grain aroma, and rich esters comes a fermented sauce flavor. This “ester before fermented sauce” flavor is like the compound fragrance of dark plum, ripened honeydew melon, and light aged smell. The rich and smooth body tastes smooth and sweet. The slight sour taste helps stimulate saliva. The finish is pleasant and long-lasting, with a residual scent in the glass.
