Origin: Ci Lake Dike, one of the new top 10 wonders of Kinmen, is an important
hydraulic structure for both national defense and livelihood located in the northwest of Kinmen. Ci Lake is an inland sea linking to Xuanli Lake. Past garrison built this 550m-long dike at Ci Lake to enhance military defense. As the largest seawater lake in Kinmen, it has rich biological resources and is the foraging site and habitat of water birds. Strolling along at sunset, the twilight flickers over the Jinlie Waterway, and the distant Lieyu and Xiamen are in sight. The view is splendid and gorgeous. When the night falls, stars twinkle over the immense wilderness. Together with the light flashing on the yonder coast, the night view at Ci Lake is even more attractive.
