Origin: This is a memorial product co-developed with the National Museum of History (NMH) with coiled dragon figurines on both sides of the bottle inspired by the Squarish Ritual Wine Vessel, a national treasure collected by NMH. This squarish vessel was a wine pot used by the Marquise of Cheng in the Autumn and Spring Period. The pot became a fashion among kings and princes for its magnificence to highlight the majestic and noble status of owners. The product is named the Reserve Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor in Coiled Dragon Squarish Vessel because of the very superior old (reserve) KKL sorghum liquor as pure as jade contained in the bottle.
Package design: NMH’s phoenix pattern seal is gold-plated on the bottle right beneath the neck, and its sketch is also gold-plated on the cover to present a majestic splendor and dazzling effect for connoisseurs to recognize the bottle’s historical connotation when tasting the reserve sorghum liquor. The product is thus suitable for both personal collection and as a gift. Doubtlessly it is also one of the best choices as a seasonal gift for friends and relatives.
Liquor: The liquor is made of select plump-eared winter sorghum with high stickiness, thick husks, and rich starch content using quality hard red winter wheat as the starter in KKL’s legacy solid grain fermentation process. Experienced distillers specifically choose the liquor base with a “peculiar” taste and blend it with KKL’s unique blending mastery before storing the liquor in the military tunnels to age for a minimum of three years. In addition to the crystal-clear body, the liquor carries a smooth and mild aged aroma, with a soft, neat, refreshing, and velvety mouthfeel and a long-lasting finish. In general, liquor is contained in high-quality porcelain bottles to facilitate aging and make the liquor more aromatic.
